Grab your paddle — we handle the rest!

On the day, show up at La Jonction 5 minutes early. Bring CHF 10 in cash or via Twint, sports shoes and a water bottle. Paddles and balls are provided.

What your first session looks like

5:55 pm — welcome. Show up at the main entrance of École de Cité-Jonction. A Geneva Sports Club member will greet you, collect the CHF 10 (cash or Twint) and lend you a paddle if you do not have one. No paperwork, no licence — just your name and a smile.

6:00 pm — warm-up & rules recap. Fifteen minutes of warm-up with a few dink exchanges, a quick recap of the essentials if beginners are present (kitchen, two-bounce rule, underhand serve), then a fast pairing into balanced doubles.

6:15 pm — rotating play. Three courts run in parallel, short games to 11, rotations every 10–15 minutes so partners and opponents change. You will play with and against players of all levels — inclusion is the club's golden rule.

7:45 pm — wrap-up. We pack down nets and balls together, swap contacts for the next session, and some members usually carry on for a drink in the Jonction neighbourhood.

What to bring. Indoor shoes with non-marking soles (tennis, padel, squash), sportswear, a water bottle, and CHF 10. Paddles and indoor balls are provided. No need to arrive early if you come alone — a member is always there to walk you through how the evening flows.

How many sessions before you feel comfortable? On average, two to three sessions are enough to internalise the serve, the two-bounce rule and the kitchen. Many members become regulars from their very first evening.
