Registration is online via Meetup on the Geneva Sports Club page. Create a free Meetup account, open the 'Events' tab, pick the next pickleball session (Monday or Friday, 6pm-8pm) and click 'Join'. You pay CHF 10 on site when you attend.
A session costs CHF 10, paid on site. There is no membership fee — you only pay for the sessions you attend. Payment is accepted in cash or via Twint.
Sessions are held at La Jonction, in the Cité-Jonction neighbourhood of Geneva (1205). We play indoors on three pickleball courts when the weather requires it, allowing year-round play regardless of conditions.
Geneva Sports Club runs two pickleball sessions per week: Monday from 6pm to 8pm and Friday from 6pm to 8pm. Sessions are open to all levels and last two hours.
Yes, all levels are welcome, including complete beginners. An experienced member will walk you through the basic rules, serving, the kitchen zone, and scoring. The pickleball learning curve is fast — most new players are autonomous after two or three sessions.

Standard sportswear: t-shirt, shorts or leggings, and most importantly indoor sports shoes with non-marking soles. Avoid pure running shoes — pickleball involves lateral movement that stresses your ankles, so tennis, padel or squash shoes are ideal.
Pickleball uses a solid composite or graphite paddle, a perforated plastic ball, and is played without surrounding walls. Padel uses a similar paddle but a pressurised ball, with rebounds off the glass walls. Pickleball is more accessible to beginners and requires less explosive power than padel.
Yes — pickleball is one of the most senior-friendly racket sports. The smaller court (20 × 44 ft), slower ball, and absence of explosive efforts make it gentle on the joints while preserving cardiovascular benefits. Several Geneva Sports Club members are aged 55 to 70.
Pickleball is playable from age 8-10 depending on the child. Our current sessions are for adults (16+), but we are exploring family slots. Contact us if you are an interested parent.
Yes — the pickleball scene is growing fast in Switzerland, with occasional tournaments in Geneva, Lausanne and the canton of Vaud. We share dates of friendly competitions on Meetup. The Swiss Pickleball Federation runs the annual national championship.

Yes — our La Jonction sessions are indoor, allowing year-round play regardless of the weather. Indoor balls are slightly different from outdoor ones (smaller perforations, more consistent bounce).
Several initiatives exist in Lausanne, Nyon and the canton of Vaud, but the offer is still more limited than in Geneva. If you live outside Geneva, you are welcome at our sessions — La Jonction is 5 minutes on foot from Cornavin train station.
Some sessions may pause during Geneva school holidays (Easter, summer, autumn, end of year). The exact calendar is published on Meetup at least a week in advance. Subscribe to the Meetup group for automatic notifications.
Geneva Sports Club (GSC) is a multi-sport association based in Geneva that brings together over 8,000 members around a variety of sports. Pickleball is one of the activities offered, alongside other indoor and outdoor sports.
